Julien was born with microtia. Microtia is when the external ear is small and not formed properly. Julien has hearing loss on his right ear due to the closure of the external ear canal. It is a lifelong condition as he needs his hearing aid for rest of his life. 

Even with the hearing aid, hearing loss can affect speech development. Julien is actively working with two speech therapists to prevent any delays. He loves his cars, trucks and trains. He enjoys swim lessons and my gym classes.
