Meet Leo!

Making His World a Little Bigger

Leo is a strong and determined young boy who reminds everyone around him what perseverance looks like. He requires full assistance with every part of daily life, including walking, communicating, feeding, and bathing. But with the help of his incredible care team and adaptive equipment, Leo continues to experience the world in his own unique way.

Leo uses a wheelchair, gait trainer, stander, adaptive chair, bath and toilet chair, eye-gaze communication device, and adaptive bicycle. He works hard through therapy Monday through Friday (and sometimes Saturdays!), along with specialized three-week intensive therapy programs multiple times a year. He also participates in hippotherapy and acupuncture and is followed by a team of specialists who help manage his complex medical needs.

Leo has a bigger than life disposition and a smile to go along with it. Extremely social and happy being with people. If there's an event around town Leo can probably be found! 

He’s crazy for his miracle league baseball, hanging out on the beach and loves music!
